Hey y’all, I’m Kratina Baker, founder of The Gathering Table, and I’m so glad you’re here.
I’m a passionate advocate for social justice, a strategist, and a storyteller dedicated to the liberation, joy, and power of Black women. As a proud Black Southerner, I believe the South is the gateway to liberation, where our history, resilience, and community care have shaped movements that change the world. My work has spanned policy, advocacy, and grassroots organizing, equipping communities with the tools to drive systemic change.
Through my platform, The Radical Southern Belle, my consulting work, and my commitment to legacy-building, I focus on uplifting Black Southern narratives, advancing rural Black power, and creating spaces for deep connection and strategy. I hold a law degree, I’m currently earning my master’s at the Clinton School of Public Service, and above all else, I’m a mother, a role that grounds my commitment to building a more just and compassionate world.
I created The Gathering Table because I believe in the power of us—Black women, girls, and gender-expansive people—to shape our future on our own terms. The Gathering Table is my offering — a space where we don’t have to ask for permission to be powerful.
Here, we dream freely, organize strategically, and build intentionally. My hope is that every woman who pulls up a chair feels not only welcomed, but needed — because you are. Your voice, your vision, and your presence are essential to what we are creating.
Thank you for being here. Thank you for believing that we deserve spaces designed with our full humanity in mind.
This is just the beginning, and I can’t wait to see what we build — together.
With love and in solidarity,
Kratina Baker
